Dog Training

One on One Pet Services opened in 1992 as a dog training and placement service. We served as a resource for local animal shelters and rescues when they were faced with overcrowding and low placement. By beginning our “foster kid’s” training we found they had a better chance at finding forever homes. Through the success of our training program we soon began offering our services to pet owners and rehabilitating shelter/rescue dogs that were previously unadoptable, based on their specific behavior issues.
“One on One” Training:
We believe that making a family pet a good canine citizen with social graces is the primary wish of every pet owner. Our canine behaviorists help you, “one on one,” communicate more clearly to resolve issues like: aggression, barking, digging, separation anxiety, hyperactivity, leash manners, etc.
With our customized private sessions you are setting a solid foundation of learning before introducing distractions like you would find in a group class, park, etc. After an in-depth consultation we will develop a lesson plan that fits your needs and lifestyle. We are dedicated to helping you communicate more clearly with a positive psychology based approach to ensure all your training goals are met in a productive learning environment. We offer beginning, intermediate, and advanced lesson programs. When you know what makes dogs do what they do, solutions come quick, easy, and fun!

Group Training

Come join the fun and enroll in one of our group obedience training classes, held at locations in Northern Minnesota and surrounding areas. We will teach you to interact with your dog successfully without physical motivators, bribery, or emotional challenges. Classes are 6 weeks long and reasonably priced so everyone can afford a pet with excellent social “petiquette.”
